Hi! I'm Palak and I am a fourth year computer engineering student. I am also planning to do a minor in computer science. I started off at WiE as the VP External for 2 years before taking on the role of Co-President. My favourite part of WiE is the amazing community of individuals who are always there to support and uplift each other in their engineering student journey. In my free time, you can find me reading something thought-provoking or fantasy, hanging out with friends or hiking!

Hi! I'm Wajihah and I am currently in my fourth-year of Electronics Engineering. I love being part of WiE because it brings together the community of amazing women in engineering. Through my involvement I hope to encourage young women to pursue a career in STEM and help provide an inclusive environment for everyone in engineering. In my free time I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Hi, my name is Elaiza and I am a 4th year computer engineering student at SFU. I decided to join WiE to help cultivate a positive and diverse space for women and other underrepresented groups on campus, especially in the STEM field. My favourite part of WiE has been forming deep-rooted relationships with my peers, helping each other grow day-by-day. Outside of school, I like to watch the NBA, go outside for walks, and play music.

My favourite memory was the first event I went to, compass on campus, it made me feel so welcomed and I made so many great friends. In my free time, I watch hockey and motor sporting events.

In my first year of Engineering, I really enjoyed the mentorship events organized by WiE and decided that I wanted to be apart of the team! Hello! I'm Lucy, a 4th year computer engineering student here at SFU. I joined WiE after developing a deep admiration for such an inspiring, empowering community, and wanted to give back to the community that welcomed me so much. I hope to empower and support other fellow women in STEM, and provide them a comfortable, supportive space. Throughout my time as a member of WiE , I have gained life-long friendships, and have enjoyed getting to know my peers and community more and more! In my free time, I really enjoy art as a hobby and designing merchandise.

My name is Qiraa, and I am currently a 4th year majoring in Computer Engineering, and pursuing a minor in Interactive Arts & Technology. I spend most of my free time reading or drawing, but I have recently picked up learning crochet and I am always (slowly but surely) working on a personal project. Currently I am trying to refresh my HTML/CSS and Javascript skills to create a portfolio website displaying some of my previous projects!

Hi, I'm Taaibah and I am in my last year of computer engineering here at SFU! I joined WiE in first year to be part of a wonderful community of women, and I have made so many incredible friends and memories since then. One of my favourite memories is hosting Networking Night 2024 - the turnout was incredible and seeing our efforts come to life was extremely rewarding. A bit about me is that I love to read, go to the gym, and spend time with my friends and cat Milo :)

Hello my name is Arsala and I’m excited to be the first year representative for this year! I joined engineering sciences in hopes to slowly figure out what type of engineering to do as I’ve always been interested in inventing. Besides engineering, I’m a self defence coach for girls and love hikes as well as networking. I’m also a huge fan of watching a variety of shows whenever I have time. This is just the start of my journey with WIE but I hope to connect with everyone more and feel free to reach out!
