SFU Childcare Society's 2016 AGM was held on September 21. 40 parents, staff, and Board members showed up to enjoy an evening celebrating the past year at SFUCCS.

Rebecca Sung, Skyfire Educator, gave a presentation focused on Rethinking Weapon Play. The Board Chair and the Executive Director presented reports detailing the highlights of the Board's and staff's work over the past year. The membership voted to acclaim our new parent and SFU Board representatives - a big welcome to Frances Wu, Amberlea Valli, and Sandi de Domenico who are new to the Board.

The Leanne Dalton Working with Passion staff award was presented to Lina Brasil do Couto and the Margaret MacDonald professional development grant for 2016 was presented to Nita Pedersen. Length of service awards were presented to staff reaching their 5, 10, 15, and 25-year milestones.
