Mass Spectrometry Facility

Welcome to the Mass Spectrometry (MS) facility at Simon Fraser University.

Our facility provides mass spectral services to researchers at SFU, other universities, hospitals, not-for-profit entities, as well as external commercial clients.

Sample Submission

The mass spectrometry facility's sample drop-off box is located just outside the entrance to the NMR and MS facility on the 6000 level of the Chemistry Department (Shrum Science Centre), near Science Stores.  The top and bottom compartments are for sample-drop off and pick-up, respectively.

Samples must be submitted with a completed sample submission form.

For samples that are not stable at room temperature, please contact Hongwen Chen to arrange special receiving.

Useful documents: a new sample submission form and a brief guide to Mass Spec Services.
