Dr Caterina Ramogida awarded $23 million New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) Transformation program grant
Dr Caterina Ramogida (SFU Chemistry, TRIUMF) and Dr François Bénard (UBC) are the lead researchers in a project that has been awarded a New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) Transformation program grant, valued at $23 million. Their work will focus on developing a new generation of radiation therapy using actinium-225 to help establish Canada as a world leader in nuclear medicine.
The project will bring together Canadian expertise from fields such as oncology, radiology, nuclear physics, chemistry, biology to clinical medicine and health economics with the goal of developing new drug candidates for potential clinical trial testing.
