Samira Siahrostami Bestowed WIN Rising Star Award
Dr Samira Siahrostami has been named the winner of the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) Rising Star 2023 award in recognition of her work as an emerging leader in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Dr. Siahrostami's research focuses on digital chemistry for the development of innovative nanocatalysts for clean energy conversion.
The WIN institute, located at the University of Waterloo, is Canada’s largest nanotechnology institute and has presented the award since 2018 to recognize outstanding international early-career researchers whose work aligns with the institute’s thematic areas and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
Dr Siahrostami will be invited to present her research as a seminar at the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology at the University of Waterloo.
