Graduate student opportunities
I am always on the look-out for self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals interested in graduate work (MSc or PhD). Prospective students should have a strong GPA in a relevant discipline and/ or evidence of research potential (i.e., one or more publications), and be competitive for their own funding (e.g., NSERC, CIHR). I strongly encourage prospective students to start applying for external funding prior to your anticipated start date (I would be happy to support you in this).I am particularly looking for students with a background in placental biology and/or pregnancy, and who have some experience with R and bioinformatic analyses.
If you are interested, please send me
- your CV (which should include a summary of your previous research and academic experience and contact information for two or more academic letters of reference)
- your transcripts (unofficial is fine)
- a short description of past laboratory/research experience, why you are interested in grad school, your career goals, and how these things relate to my research
