The Archaeology Department at SFU brings together a world-class research faculty in a collegial atmosphere.
At the masters level, the Department offers a traditional Masters of Arts (MA) in Archaeology. The program requires submission of a thesis and can be completed in six terms (2 years), but students have up to nine terms (3 years). The program requires completion of at least 33 units.
Applications open October 1, and are due January 15 for entrance the following September.

Orientation
Orientation and a Meet and Greet on the first Thursday of the fall term.
Course Requirements
Three graded courses, two terms of graduate seminar, and a thesis presentation.
INTENSIVE COLLABORATION
SFU faculty will support the design and delivery of your MA thesis.
THESIS DEFENCE
Juried defences for the MA program take place on the SFU campus.
