My Driving Trips
----Experiences in improving my driving skills
►Rent a car for the first time (Mar 5-6, 2006): Not well prepared for a long trip. It took time to get used to a different car. Not all my coach's tips on driving skills worked when driving a different car.
Not bad. Go shopping first.
This was the first time I drove as an "experienced" driver. I felt nervous at the beginning. Therefore, Rui and I stayed on residence roads for quite a while. After I gradually got used to the car, we went shopping first. Bravo! this time I didn't need to carry a bag of 10kg rice with my backpack.
A quick tour in Vancouver downtown.
Driving on crowded roads was a headache for me. I hoped I had extra eyes to watch out potential dangers. As my co-driver, Rui helped me out of several close calls.
Take a break in the Stanley Park.
It felt so nice to drive along the coast line and enjoy the beautiful senses on a car.
►2nd car rental (Aug 5-6, 2006): What a coincidence! It was five full months after my first car rental. I thought I would have totally forgotten how to drive. But once I took the wheel, it wasn't bad at all.
Who is that cool guy?
A little farm at the "city edge" of Vancouver.
Enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful beach at Whiterock.
"Bears" and me.
►3rd trip (): Blah, blah, blah, blah...
