Three children and one adult sitting in a circle around colorful blocks, pages with drawings, and markers.
Do you have a preschool-age child who wants to be connected to their grandparents or family far away? You and your child can get one of our play-based design activity boxes and help to design new child-friendly technologies that will let them communicate with grandparents and other family members on their own, like by sharing photos or voice messages.
In the box, you will get an activity book with a story about astronauts, prompts, and coloring pages along with some building blocks. With your child, you will read the story and then imagine you are the astronauts and build or draw the gadgets you need to finish the story. Your child will get a sheet of stickers to keep, and they can keep the book too! And we will give you $40 to thank you for your help with our research.
To qualify, you must be located in Montreal or the greater Vancouver area and have a child who is between 3-5 years old. You and your child must be able to complete the activities in at least 1, but up to 4 activity boxes. You will have each box for a week, and you can choose when to get a box. Help our research!
