None of the material covered in the course is conceptually difficult, and it would be possible to master it just by reading the text and solving the problem sets. In the lectures we will be discussing the ideas involved, with real-world examples, and working through sample problems. Any important information presented in lectures will simultaneously be posted on the website, so it should not be necessary to take many lecture notes. Copies of assignments will also be posted to the website.
