I am an Assistant Professor at Simon Fraser University and a NBER Faculty Research Fellow. I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in 2017. 

My research interests are in Economics of Education, Environmental Economics, Labour Economics, Public Economics, and Applied Econometrics.

My work develops and applies novel econometric techniques to highlight education policies that can increase student achievement and reduce the pervasive test score gaps that plague public education today. My work can be divided into two broad research agendas, both of which attempt to shed new light on the design of education policies: (i) evaluation of education policies, with a recent focus on the potential for environmental factors such as pollution to affect student performance, and (ii) the development of new empirical methodologies. I also have a nascent research agenda investigating public housing in Colombia.
