In the best of all possible worlds, this form of SMPTE timecode - where the numbers all move in simple cycles: hours 0 - 23, minutes 0 - 59, seconds 0- 59 and frames 0- 29 (0 - 24 or 0 - 23) would simply be called “timecode” and the form of timecode where frames are dropped most every minute would be called drop-code... |
