How to read the template:
Courses are coloured to indicate their subdicipline.
The schedule runs on a 6-semester (two-year) cycle.
Each course's cycle of offerings is encoded by
a subset of {1,2,3,4,5,6} according to the following table.
All courses are 3-credit hours unless otherwise indicated.
Courses belong to ACMA, CMPT, MACM, MATH, PHYS or STAT according to the following table.
Example:
MATH 171 is a 1-credit hour course (not the default 3)
It is intended to be offered in semesters "1 3 6",
which means "every fall semester, and the also the spring of odd numbered years".
A little black dot under one of the semester numbers indicates that the course
is offered as an evening course on that semester.
Coloured lines indicate prerequisite requirements.
- Black lines with arrowheads indicate prerequisites (course must be completed with a grade of at least C-).
- Blue lines with circleheads indicate corequisites (course must be taken completed or taken concurrently).
- Red lines indicate an additional grade requirements
(for example, an "A or B" is needed in MATH 157 in order to register for MATH 152), see calendar for details.
- Golden lines are recommended prerequisites.
- Dashed lines indicate prerequisite choices.
Examples:
-
MATH 470 is offered on even-year summers.
It pre-requires MATH 310 and (either MACM 202 or PHYS 211) and (either PHYS 384 or MATH 313).
-
MATH 251 is offered every semester, and is an evening course on
even-year springs.
It pre-requires (either MATH 152 or MATH 155 or (MATH 158 with a minimum grade of "A") and MATH 232 is recommended.
-
MATH 171 requires that one of MATH 151 or MATH 154 or MATH 157 be taken in the same or previous semester.
This chart is only a close approximation to the university rules.
Please refer to the
University Calendar for official rules and details.
Not all prerequisites are shown for CMPT and PHYS courses.
