Low energy consumption and long battery life are important qualities to consider in designing and operating wireless networks. I am interested in protocol design principles for wireless networks operating for a special purpose under special environments. Example applications include sensor networks, smart city, delay-tolerant applications, etc. I am interested in how the special application requirements and/or special physical topology can be exploited to make the network more efficient and reliable.
