The WHEATchat Bakery Cafe is a local bubble tea and dessert shpo located in the west end of Vancouver, Canada. The owner needs a full set of branding designs including a company logo, storefront signage design, drink menus and cup design.

Problem

With the eagerness to find the best design for the store, I and the owner went through an extensive process of research with various attempts in trial and error before settling with the final logo design.

Photos that are taken for the drink menus also required a lot of time on image editing and post-production, causing an even larger workload within a tight deadline.

Solution

Working under a strict time strain, I quickly moved forward to other designs after developing a solid visual brand. Materials like regular drink menu, top 10 items drink menu, are made and executed within the given time limit.

Outcome

All designs were successfully made before the opening of the store and the owner was very satisfied with the final outcome.

The WHEATchat Bakery Cafe ended its business during 2019, and the closure was mentioned on Daily Hive as a cafe that “was known for its desserts, coffee, pastries, and the signature happy whale logo on its cups.”
