Conceptual Outline
My project will be an analysis of the flood hazard zones in Greater Vancouver. I plan to define zones where there are high, medium and low risk of flooding. Then I want to map out residential areas, schools, hospitals and commercial industry areas and show them in relation to which zone they are in. It is important to know where high risk zones are because communities need to plan for flooding events which can be devastating to large numbers of people.
