May 4: Step-Up Workshop: Academic Advancement Strategies for Women in STEM
The WWEST Chair in conjunction with the NSERC CWSE National Network and Simon Fraser University, hosted the Step-up Workshop, a national workshop for women who are Assistant and Associate Professors in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and are looking ahead to tenure and promotion. Get advice, support, and information on this strategic next step in your career.
Who: Women Assistant or Associate Professors in STEM fields from across Canada.
What: A unique opportunity to look ahead to tenure and promotion – get advice and support to chart your path ahead.
Where: Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC.
When: Friday May 4, 2018. Opening reception and CV Review Sessions on May 3, 2018.
Why: Mentor, learn, network, and get advice from senior faculty and administrators.

30 spaces were available for this session. 15 of these were reserved for SFU faculty (all campuses combined).
Thanks to the generous support of the NSERC CWSE National Network, there was no registration cost for this event.
