Transition Events Assistant
Student Engagement & Retention (SER) offers transition, engagement, and retention programming to assist new students as they transition into university from acceptance until the end of their first year. SER collaborates with multiple partners at the institution, including Faculties and other Student Services departments, such as Career and Volunteer Services, on these initiatives.
The Transition Events Assistant (TEA) supports the SER team with student volunteer training, event planning, and implementation of in-person and virtual transition programs and events (e.g., SFU 101, HIVE programming, Faculty programming, Student Leader Training, Welcome Day, Month of Welcome, Games Lounge, Career Fest, and other engagement activities as required).
