English Conversation Circles
The English Conversation Circles is a program to support temporary foreign workers, refugee claimants and immigrants who have now become Canadian citizens but may still be facing language barriers in the workplace. The SFU Surrey–TD CEC is collaborating with S.U.C.C.E.S.S. BC Settlement and Integration Services (BCSIS) to deliver English conversation groups. BCSIS is a settlement service delivered by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. to support temporary residents and naturalized citizens to settle and integrate into the community.
The Conversation Facilitators facilitate engaging conversations that encourage equal participation among participants and help to remove language barriers thereby enabling better integration of participation into the work place and better understanding of work rights and responsibilities.
