Clinic Assistant Program

The Clinic Assistant position is an opportunity to practice skills learned in BPK 241 in a real life setting. The SFU Sport Medicine Clinic is staffed by Physiotherapists and Athletic Therapists who work to keep our athletes healthy throughout their careers representing Canada’s NCAA team. Student Trainers volunteer two hours a week in the clinic observing treatments, providing first aid and prophylactic taping for injured athletes and help with the day to day operations of the clinic. Through this opportunity students learn about different careers in the health care field and gain hands on experience in a fast paced and exciting setting.
