Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Outreach Volunteer

Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join our outreach team. As a Volunteer Outreach Advocate, you will play a crucial role in raising awareness sexual violence, sharing information about the services and support the SVSPO offers to the campus community and educating the community on various campaigns and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach activities on campus (Surrey, Vancouver or Burnaby) to raise awareness about sexual violence and available resources and support.

• Assist in executing events and education campaigns

• Distribute informational materials among student groups and departments

• Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to enhance outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about creating a culture of care and consent on campus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Previous experience in outreach, education, or advocacy is a plus but not required.
