Student Health Advisory Committee
The Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) Co-Lead position works with the SFU Health Promotion team to inform and implement the Healthy Campus Community initiative. SHAC Co-Leads and Committee Members increase student capacity to enhance health and well-being at SFU through advocacy, awareness building and the development of cross-campus partnerships with individual students as well as student groups and organizations. Responsibilities include attending regular meetings with the SFU Health Promotion Team; recruiting and overseeing committee members; chairing committee meetings; maintaining and strengthening strategic partnerships; planning and organizing campus events to facilitate dialogue around health-related issues and more.
This opportunity is suitable for students are who are enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the SFU community. Students have a powerful ability to engage with the institution and SHAC provides a platform for student engagement, advocacy, and empowerment.
