Phasing between the
direct and reflected or delayed sound results in a
cancellation of frequencies that are out of phase by
1/2, 3/2, 5/2 .... wavelengths. This corresponds to the
odd harmonics which are attenuated in narrow notches in
the spectrum, a pattern similar to a comb. |
