Compositional Examples


These examples are drawn from soundscape compositions by Barry Truax which are fully documented on the WSP Database. The original sound is auto-convolved with itself (*self), then again (*self*self) and in some cases, a third time, shown below the previous one.

Note that the symbol for convolution is *.

In many cases, these versions were also processed further by transposing them up or down, mixing them together, combining them with a reversed version, or by granular time stretching.
