Lost Spirit

In this three minutes poetry video, inspired by Pauline Johnson's "Lost Lagoon", we capture the natural beauty and cityscape of Stanley Park on two different days which are rainy days and sunny days, through the lens of a camera, aiming to explore and showcase the sights and emotions in the poem, as the lost lagoon is written in Stanley Park, Vancouver. The narrative thread of the video surrounded by a character who sits on a park bench and quietly reads the poem, and as the verses progress, the viewer embarks on a small journey with him, gradually diving deeper into the world depicted in the poem. During this journey, we tried our best to match each image with the sentences in the poem, so that the audience could feel the rhythm and artistic conception of the poem more deeply. Eventually, the trip leads us to the Pauline Johnson Monument, which is not only a tribute to the great poet, but also a symbol of understanding and understanding the deeper meaning of poetry. Through this work, we hope that the audience will be able to feel the unique charm of Stanley Park and the profound thinking that poetry brings.
