With a unique texture that is soft and fluffy at first bite, it transforms into a chew reminiscent to mochi. Due to their iconic pull-apart shape, they're also known as pon de ring donuts. MOCHIDO was opened in spring 2021. It is a premium mochi donut shop based in Vancouver, serving unique flavour donuts and specialty drinks. The maker has been developing its mochi recipe for years and prides itself on using fresh, premium ingredients. They also uses special eqipment to achieve the iconic Pon de Ring donut shape. Flavours will rotate monthly, this month's offerings are: original glaze, churro, salted brown butter, melona crunch, turtle chip, choco pong, and black sesame. What makes this store unique is the open-concept kitchen, customers are able to watch their donuts get fried and glazed through the window. From deep frying to toppings, the assembly line is right in view.
