MOCHIDO is Vancouver's only spot specializing in mochi donuts. What is a mochi donut? A mochi donut is a delicious hybrid between mochi and donuts! With a unique texture that is soft and fluffy at first bite, it transforms into a chew reminiscent to mochi. Due to their iconic pull-apart shape, they're also known as pon de ring donuts. MOCHIDO was opened in spring 2021. We are a handmade mochi donut shop based in Vancouver, serving unique flavour donuts and specialty drinks. Our maker has spent years perfecting the mochi recipe and takes pride in using fresh, premium ingredients. We also use special eqipment to achieve the iconic Pon de Ring donut shape. Flavours will rotate monthly, this month's offerings are: original glaze, churro, salted brown butter, melona crunch, turtle chip, choco pong, and black sesame. What makes our store unique is the open-concept kitchen, customers are able to watch their donuts get fried and glazed through the window. From deep frying to toppings, the assembly line is right in view.
The Churro Flavor Mochi Donut captures the essence of classic churros with a delightful twist of sugar and cinnamon.
The Salted Brown Butter Mochi Donut combines the rich, nutty essence of brown butter with a touch of sea salt for a delightful contrast.
