EcoAction Community Funding Program

Description

We provide financial support to non-profit and non-government organizations for Canadian communities to take on local action-based projects that produce measurable, positive effects on the environment and to build the capacity of communities to sustain these activities in the future.

Requirements

All projects must clearly demonstrate that activities are measurable and will result in positive environmental impacts. All projects must include:

1. Activities that will lead to tangible environmental results within the timeframe of the project;
2. Opportunities for community members to take action;
3. At least one (1) environmental indicator AND one (1) capacity building indicator as per the list of performance indicators listed in Annex B; and
4. A description of how project results and engagement will be sustained after the completion of EcoAction funding.

At least 50% of the total value of your project must come from sources other than the Government of Canada.
