SFU members recognized with prestigious anthropology award

SFU's Centre for Imaginative Ethnography has been awarded a prestigious New Directions in Anthropology Award by the American Anthropological Association.

The award recognizes work that presents "anthropological perspectives to the publics beyond the academy across diverse forms of media with methodological rigorous and ethical engagement."

The CIE was founded by SFU Sociology and Anthropology faculty and students who continue to lead the centre.
