Presidential Search Update – Fall 2019

Professor Andrew Petter’s second term as President ends on August 31, 2020 and SFU is currently undertaking the process to find its next President.

To date, the Presidential Search Committee has engaged in robust consultations to gather input to help shape the position description, which has been made available to all potential candidates.

Since the release of the job description and candidate profile, a number of qualified individuals have shown serious interest in the position. The committee will be conducting interviews with candidates later this fall.

The search is proceeding as planned and the Presidential Search Committee remains on-track to announce a new President in early 2020.
