Avian Flu detected in British Columbia - SFU expert available
A teenager in the Fraser Health region tested presumptively positive for H5 avian flu this weekend, the first case of avian influenza in Canada. SFU expert Fiona Brinkman can talk about what the discovery means, including the importance of monitoring and why people should keep away from close contact with large wild birds and wild animals.

Expertise: Brinkman can speak about the importance of disease monitoring and to report any unusual cases of dead animals.
