1 Million March 4 Children and the anti-SOGI movement in Canada – SFU expert available
On Friday, the 1 Million March 4 Children, a movement protesting the inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) in school curriculums, is planning a day of marches and protests in locations across Canada.
SFU professor Travers can speak about the harms that right-wing, anti-SOGI movement has on LGBT children and youth, and the positive impact that sexual orientation and gender identity inclusion can have for queer children. Travers can also speak about transgender kids and gender affirming healthcare and transgender people and sport participation.
