Canadian rail strike - SFU experts available
More than 9,000 unionized rail workers are expected to be off the job Thursday – barring a last-minute deal – bringing the country’s rail system to a halt. The job action, by employees of the Canadian National Railway Co. and the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd., is estimated to affect 32,000 rail commuters in Canada’s three largest cities and cause significant disruption to the supply chain and the country’s economy.
