StatCan Data shows increase in violent crime, highest homicide rate in 30 years – SFU Experts Available
New Statistics Canada data shows that crime continued to rise in Canada through 2022. Violent crime reached its highest point since 2007, with 531,243 violent incidents reported, and homicides reached their highest rate in 30 years, with 874 reported, marking a four-year consecutive rise.
