Meta launches new Twitter rival, Threads – SFU experts available
Facebook and Instagram owner Meta has now launched its new online discussion platform called Threads. The app is considered direct competition to Twitter, striking at a time when the company has been plagued with controversy and discord under owner Elon Musk.
Experts from Simon Fraser University are available to discuss the potential impacts of the new platform, the circumstances that led to its launch, and provide additional insight into online communication.
