Send Later
Outlook for Mac
The Send Later feature allows you to schedule a message to be sent at a later date/time. This page outlines how to use this feature in the Outlook 2016 for Mac desktop application.
Note: this feature is only available in the Outlook desktop applications and cannot be performed in the Outlook Web App. Your desktop application must be running in Online mode, otherwise your message will not be sent if you close your Outlook application.
Send Later
Note: This feature is only available with the Office 365 license of Outlook 2016 for Mac, and not the campus volume license of Outlook 2016 for Mac.
1. Compose a message as normal. When you are ready to send the message, click the drop-down arrow beside the Send button. Select Send Later...
2. This will open up a window where you can set a date and time for your message to be sent. Set the date/time as desired, and then hit Send.
3. The message will then be located in your Drafts folder until it is sent. Any messages in your Drafts scheduled to be sent will have a clock icon on the right hand side of the message in the message list. When you select the message, there will be a notice in the reading pane saying the message is scheduled to be sent at a specific time. To cancel the sending of the message, click Cancel send.
