Introduction to Project Management |
Decision Analysis
There are several stages in the course of a project
when critical decisions are to be made regarding the future path that
is to be followed. In fact, the most crucial decision might be to
decide at the beginning whether to embark on the project or not.
Other important decisions that could benefit from using decision
analysis tools may be subcontract awarding, subproject termination in
a research and development (R&D) environment,
what-if analysis, and so on. Decision analysis
techniques can be used effectively in such situations
to help make decisions under uncertainty.
