Overview

The Tab Layout class enables you to organize and present information on a frame using a tabbed folder metaphor. Like tabbed folders in a filing cabinet or tabbed dividers in a notebook, tabs can be used to divide and organize information.

The Tab Layout class provides an efficient way to organize and group information and widgets on a frame. Use the Tab Layout class when you want to:

simplify a crowded or "busy" user interface.
keep data entry on a single frame where similar data elements can be grouped and associated. In a retail environment, for example, one tab's client area could record product information, a second client area could prompt for shipping information, and a third area could process sales.
provide different views of information within a single frame. For example, you could provide a set of tabs where each client area displays a different type of graph for the same data set.
