FROM VIEW Statement

Specifies the view descriptor to convert.

FROM <VIEW>=V6-view-descriptor <(PW=password)>;

V6-view-descriptor-name: specifies the existing Version 6 PROC ACCESS view descriptor that is to be converted. FROM VIEW= is required.
password: If the view was created with an optional SAS password, then the PW= statement is required. A SAS password is used for accessing a SAS view file. If a Version 6 view was created with a SAS password, then the password will always be associated with that view. Therefore, the converted Version 8 view will require the SAS password for any procedures that it uses.
