PhD, Research Manager at Vancouver General Hospital
Leah Rosenkrantz is a research manager with the Trauma Services team at Vancouver General Hospital. Previously, she completed a PhD at Simon Fraser University with Dr. Nadine Schuurman.
Stella Harden is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Geography at Simon Fraser University. She is currently working on her dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Nadine Schuurman.
Ashley Tegart is a MSc candidate in GIScience supervised by Dr N. Schuurman. Her focus is on environmental correlates related to runnability and she is engaged with two projects. The first is a Runnability Scoping Review to determine all runnability correlates in the published academic literature. The second project is to conduct environmental scans of the most popular running segments on Strava in Metro Vancouver.
Hana graduated from SFU with a B.Env in Geography, GIS certificate and recently completed her Advanced Diploma in GIS at the BC Institute of Technology. Currently, she is engaged in overdose geography research with SFU and the BC Centre for Disease Control. She also leads a participatory GIS project for York University and partner NGOs to explore relationships between gender-based violence and the built environment. Hana hopes to apply GIS to analyze and improve community livability within the realm of urban planning, focusing on factors such as proximity to services, pedestrian mobility, and transportation.
Ryan holds both a BSc. in Physical Geography and a Certificate in GIS from SFU. He is a budding GIS professional currently working within Dr. Schuurman's GIS and Health Informatics Lab at SFU while expanding his skills.
