Environmental scans/audits allow us to go to popular running locations and take an in depth look at features that may promote them. We hope this will give us a better idea about what makes running routes popular.
These scans are performed along the most popular Strava running routes in Metro Vancouver, multiple from each individual municipality. We are specifically looking at some of the criteria outlined in the Rough Runnability Index, and any others that are determined by our research as we scan the running routes.
