Leanne leads Renewable Cities and supports operations, finance, human resources, revenue generation and planning for Renewable Cities. Her expertise is in bringing pragmatic, simple solutions to support healthy organizational culture and enable smooth program implementation. She is passionate about supporting system-changing organizations to exemplify dynamic learning culture, resilient leadership, and staff well-being.
As a white, cis-gendered settler living, working and playing on unceded Indigenous lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), q̓íc̓əy̓ (Katzie), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Qayqayt, Kwantlen, Semiahmoo and Tsawwassen peoples, Leanne is committed to re-educating herself on Canada’s history and accountability for our collective responsibility to right harms. Leanne’s work is informed by a background in systems thinking for sustainable community development, conflict transformation, and organizational leadership. She has over 15 years of experience in program management, non-profit operations, fundraising, and advocacy. She has a Bachelor of Science in Global Resource Systems and an MA in Conflict Transformation for Organizational Leadership and Conflict Sensitive Development.
