SFU’s MPP program challenged me to analyze and address the most pressing public policy challenges facing Metro Vancouver, B.C., and Canada. The program provided numerous opportunities to explore new areas of public policy that I had not previously worked on. I commend the program for providing its students with such a diverse curriculum as it helped to expand my own policy analysis and critical thinking skills.

The MPP program also gave me the confidence to seek out challenging opportunities. Since graduating I’ve had the privilege to work in the areas of Employment Insurance policy and more recently Labour Relations policy. I am grateful for the MPP program as it equipped me with the foundational tools needed to start a career in the public service.
