2023/2024 Parking Updates

We’re excited to see more people back on the Burnaby campus for the new term, however, please be aware that due to the increased activity on campus, you may experience some traffic congestion and delays when commuting.  
 
We would like to provide you with the following information to help you navigate anticipated high traffic volumes and construction impacts during the first few weeks of classes: 

• North Lot is one of our busiest lots at the start of the term. If you arrive after 9:30 am, you may not be able to find parking spaces available and recommend proceeding directly to East Lot, South Lot or Residence West Lot. 
• Outdoor permits are valid in all three of North, East, South and Residence West Lots.
• Indoor permits are valid in the South Parkade, West Parkade, North Lot, East Lot, South Lot and Residence West Lot.
• Parking ambassadors will be onsite to direct traffic as necessary or answer any questions. 
• The Campus Community Shuttle will be running every 30 minutes, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am till 10:30 pm from Residence West Lot to Discover 1/FIC. For more information, please click here.

Construction Impacts

Ongoing work will continue to impact University High Street, Tower Road & University Crescent at the start of the year and temporary road closures and single lane alternating traffic will be expected. 

Please give yourself extra time to arrive on campus and follow all directions from traffic control personnel.
