Upcoming Changes to Parking Rates at Surrey Campus

Starting January 2025, SFU will introduce a new parking pricing structure designed to provide greater consistency in parking costs across all SFU campuses. This update includes changes to the monthly parking rates at SFU Surrey at Central City (SRYC) and SFU Surrey Engineering (SRYE) parking lots over the next two years.

Key Parking Rate Changes

SRYC Lot

· 2025 rate: $55/month

· 2026 rate: $80/month

SRYE Lot

· 2025 rate: $75/month

· 2026 rate: $80/month

These changes reflect historical differences in parking rates, with SRYC previously priced lower than other campus lots. In comparison, Burnaby campus parking lots’ 2025 rates will average $79 for outdoor lots and $104 for indoor lots (varies by parking lot).

By 2026, both SRYC and SRYE rates will be $80/month.

Parking Permit Availability

Permits for the SRYC and SRYE lots will be available for purchase starting December 1, 2025.

In addition to these permitted lots, two outdoor lots (Surrey South and Surrey North/Skytrain) will continue to offer hourly parking options for added flexibility.
