With News Media
“I think there is a liberal kind of culture wanting to here about the pain and suffering of everything else going on the world, and news caters to this.”
- 22 year old university student
“...we watch wars and then we eat chocolate.”

Notes:
A careful reading of news.
Understand the organizational constraints and limitations to news
Aren’t as accepting of what news feeds them as older generations are (and were when they were young)
They are media savvy and see through the pretensions of objectivity, etc..
That is why they like Leno and satirical shows such as Simpsons and This Hour: they don’t pretend to be anything more than what they are, and are blatant about their limitations and biasis. And if they can get educated that way, so much the better...
This, in essence, makes them transparent and more trustworthy.
