Is this “infotainment paradigm” good for the future of our democracy?
Some say yes...
- They have re-mobilized the young and invigorated participation.
...really?
Some say no...
- We are failing to teach our kids basic civics
- Today’s youths don’t have the attention spans necessary to be functional citizens, and infotainment is capitalizing on this.

There are studies that claim this, but I’ll let the evidence stand on its own.
Don’t have appropriate attention spans and training in civics and critical thinking to analyze and digest appropriate information to be functional, effective citizens...
