The Math Catcher Program visited James Thompson Elementary School in Powell River, BC, on October 25-26, 2012. Our host was Ms. Jasmin Marshman, the school principal.
During Math Catchers' stay in Powell River, we met with four classes, Grades 6-7 and 5-6 on Thursday and Grades 3-4 and 2-3 on Friday. We talked about mathematics and science and built tenegrities and Möbius strips.
We are particularly thankful to Ms. Betty Wilson from Sliammon Nation for her kindness and hospitality.
