The Math Catcher Program visited Beaver Creek Elementary School in Surrey, BC. Our host was Ms. Cheryl Lightowlers.
Jessica Humchitt, Stephani and Jessika Monkman, and Veselin Jungic held three session. The first two groups of 10 students each were composed of students from Grades K-3. In the third group there were 17 students from Grades 4-7. The students were very engaged and they asked Math Catchers many questions about mathematics, science, and how it would be to study at Simon Fraser University.
Ms. Debra Aronson, Literacy Helping Teacher, Aboriginal Early Learners, Surrey School District, joined us for all three sessions.
