Compliance
Compliance is a process of important administrative steps to demonstrate that your research – and by extension, SFU – is compliant with the requirements of SFU, the funding agency and law. Compliance requirements apply to all research conducted at SFU, its affiliates, field sites, or under the auspices of SFU. If your research does not comply with regulations, it will not be supported and may put future funding at risk.
The type of compliance required for your research depends on the topic area and application. This section of the site covers overarching requirements that might apply to many types of research. Others, such as Research Involving Human Participants ("Human Ethics") are covered in separate own sections.
